I kind of like that you can skip some of the small talk with internet friends because they already know some of the basics from seeing your IG/reading your Substack/etc. You can just go straight to showing them pictures of your cats and grabbing food somewhere you've both been wanting to try.
Love love love this! I made half of my very close friends on the internet from my tumblr days. They came to my wedding and have been part of every single milestone in my life for the last decade. I’ve never had a deeper friend connection than the connections I’ve made online!!!
