I love this!! After living in NYC for two decades, and now living outside of it for almost one, this speaks to me. This letter an instant portal back to everything sparkly and magical about the city at Christmas.
Lovely. There is something about Christmas in NYC, even though I tend to be jaded about it. When in Florence several weeks ago, a woman working in their amazing Mercato market (which is magical all year round) told me that she’s always wanted to visit NYC but especially during the holidays, a sentiment that seems remarkably persistent. Of course, much holiday charm can be seen throughout the five boroughs, from Arthur Avenue in the Bronx to Coney Island.
